Body Building Secrets – Tips to assist you in building up muscle

The aim of this article is to grant you basic bodybuilding tips towards building muscle and achieving the muscular, bulging look that will make you stand apart from everyone else. According to me, the tip of greatest importance is that you must consider 3 key variables when looking to build muscle and become bulky. These are Training, Diet and Recovery. If the three are combined properly, you can be guaranteed that your body will consistently build muscle and become transformed. With this in mind, the following are some sure to work tips for your body building.

 

  1. Make sure you consume Proteins in sufficient quantities.  Aim for a quantity calculated based on the calculation of 2g of Protein for your every kilo of bodyweight.  Protein sources include Chicken, Turkey, Eggs, Fish, Nuts and Whey.
  2. Consume enough calories each day in order to build up muscle growth and gain weight.  A quick guide is to multiply your bodyweight in pounds by 15.  For example a man weighing in at 180lbs would require a calorie intake of 3000 daily as per this calculation.
  3. Eat at regular and frequent intervals.  Eating 5-6 meals a day spaced by 2-3hour intervals will help keep your muscles pumped and avoid a catabolic state.
  4. 80% of your workout should be focussed around the big compound movements such as presses, pullups, squats, deadlifts, rows and dips.
  5. On every set, your aim should be to reach muscular failure.
  6. Make a plan and follow it with regular records of your workouts so as to be able to evaluate your progress.
  7. Keep changing your workouts on a regular basis and experiment with different training systems..
  8. Stretch out your muscles regularly to avoid injury.
  9. Set aside at least 8 hours every night towards sleep.
  10. Have a week of complete rest after 12-16 weeks training to allow your body to recover properly.
